The development of investigative abilities in students of the Medicine career

The research activity at the Faculty of Medicine No. 2 of Santiago de Cuba is a process inherent to university work. The purpose of the research was to establish a pedagogical strategy for the development of research skills in medical students, motivated by insufficiencies in relation to the lack of cognitive independence and creativity in the development of research to solve health problems. In the community. In a first phase, the process of investigative training and development of research skills in these students is theoretically characterized, and in a second phase the proposal of a pedagogical strategy is elaborated, valuing the feasibility and effectiveness of it. Theoretical and empirical methods were used, enabling the methodological triangulation between them, as well as the mathematical statistic.
