Abstract

The research aims to analyze the academic performance of third-year high school students and the selection of careers in Circuit 03 Districts of Education 13D11 San Vicente – Sucre in order to identify the factors that affect academic performance. Descriptive, exploratory and field research was applied applying instruments according to the method. The instruments used are the bibliographic files, question forms for the sample surveys of third-year high school students. The results show that the relationship between academic performance and the selection of a university career is important. The analysis of the surveys is carried out, demonstrating that they are empowered with their abilities of how to achieve the performance of the students of this level, 74.67% are aware of the influence of their academic performance on the selection of careers.
