The invested classroom: their impact in the significant learning
Keywords:

Introduction: Under current conditions, given technological development, the flipped classroom approach has demonstrated greater advantages over traditional approaches in student learning, constituting a challenge for teachers. Its use in meaningful learning at the Macache Educational Unit with second-year Technical Baccalaureate students becomes a decisive condition for meeting the objectives of this type of teaching. However, shortcomings are observed in the impact of meaningful learning on students at the aforementioned educational unit; therefore, it was proposed to evaluate the impact of the flipped classroom methodology in promoting meaningful learning in second-year high school students. Materials and methods: Various theoretical and empirical methods were used for its development, such as analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, surveys, and interviews in a sample of 20 students and 2 teachers. The practical verification was carried out through a case study, which corroborated the effectiveness of the proposal. Results: The results of the case study conducted at the Macache Educational Unit in Ecuador have demonstrated the relevance of its use in the appropriation of an alternative teaching method to evaluate the application of knowledge associated with the contexts that prepare them for life in general and work in particular. Discussion: The Technical Baccalaureate in Agricultural Production requires further refinement of the training process by considering the flipped classroom as a viable alternative for meaningful learning in students due to its impact on motivation and collaborative work among students, allowing them to access the labor market with better cultural preparation. Conclusions: Meaningful learning allows for the pursuit of quality learning; the conscious participation of individuals in their learning process; and the planned and scientific nature of said process, qualities that are essential for success in the workplace.
