Abstract

Education in the Republic of Ecuador is buried in the exploration of a bigger quality in all the educational processes that allow to face the challenges of the Civic Revolution, as much in the material thing as in the cultural and spiritual, that’s why the search is imposed of improving the quality of the whole educational process in general, and in rural sector in the particular thing. In this country, they have been carried out some investigations referred to the school-community relationship in the rural context; nevertheless, the carried out diagnosis allowed to corroborate that the same ones are still limited. Therefore, the article presents some of the theoretical most general referents in the school-community relationship and its concretion in the rural Ecuadorian context. It is emphasized in the interaction of the social agencies like starting point for their transformation and in the correct diagnosis importance of the community.
