Abstract

Introduction: This research aimed to design a strategy linking the school, family, and community to strengthen the cultural identity of third-grade General Basic Education students at the "Valdivia" Basic Education School in the Guayaquil Canton, Guayas Province. Materials and Methods: The study employed a descriptive, applied, and mixed-methods approach, integrating qualitative and quantitative techniques. The sample consisted of 34 students, their class teacher, and their legal guardians. Direct observation, surveys, and teacher interviews revealed weaknesses in the recognition of local cultural references and indicated that family participation in school activities was largely sporadic. Results and Discussion: Based on these findings, a strategy was designed comprising phases focused on diagnosis, educational engagement, and monitoring; this strategy was validated by specialists, who deemed it pertinent, coherent, and viable for the educational context. Conclusions: It is concluded that systematic coordination among the school, family, and community constitutes an effective way to strengthen cultural identity from an early age.
