Academic University studies management sustained in the Information and Communications Technologies. Case Bolivar State University

Abstract

The Information and Communications Technologies , impose new challenges to the superior education. The State University of Bolívar, of the Ecuador has invested important resources in advanced technology. Paradoxically their impact is very low in the transformation of the formative processes. A marked breach exists between the technological advances and its implementation in the university professional's formation. The objective of the present investigation consists on exposing the current state of the use of the Technologies in the Systems Engineering career, of the Bolivar State University of Ecuador, and the group of strategic actions that were carried out for the academic university studies management of the same , and the changes caused by those. The used methods are quantitative - qualitative.
