Abstract

ntroduction: This study analyses the impact of positive attitudes on the formation of entrepreneurial intentions among Angolan university students. The aim is to assess the role of the educational system in promoting favourable attitudes towards entrepreneurship, focusing on self-efficacy, resilience, and motivation. A mixed approach was used, combining quantitative and qualitative methods, with 26 students from three higher education institutions in Angola. Data were collected using the Entrepreneurial Potential Assessment Inventory, measuring self-efficacy, risk-taking, and social skills. Results show a positive correlation between self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intention, with self-efficacy and motivation as the main predictors. Weaknesses were identified in financial resource management and business planning. It is recommended to strengthen training programmes with practical methodologies, mentoring, and business simulations. It is concluded that positive attitudes, especially self-efficacy and motivation, are determinants for the development of entrepreneurial intentions, highlighting the need for educational policies that foster an inclusive entrepreneurial culture adapted to the Angolan reality.
