Economic and financial culture in the training of technologists

Abstract

Introduction: This research responds to the need to transform the process of formation of the economic - financial culture in technologists in training in Business Administration, due to the existence of limitations in their preparation manifested in their professional performance, as an expression of the insufficient treatment of the economic - financial content in the training process of the technologist as part of their culture, which becomes a problem. As a way to solve this problem, it is proposed, from a theoretical point of view, a pedagogical model for the formation of economic - financial culture from the educational potential offered by the thematic axes in the training scenarios, the school and the company, it is also proposed the transferential formative method of knowledge associated with the field of Finance as the way to promote economic - financial culture. From a practical point of view, a pedagogical strategy for the formation of economic - financial culture is proposed, which is implemented through its stages containing a system of actions, in correspondence with the structural components of the model. During the research, different theoretical and empirical research methods were applied, allowing us to verify the current shortcomings of the economic and financial literacy development process. It is based on the foundations of the philosophy of good living, materialist dialectics, historical-cultural theory, and holistic-configurational theory, which allowed for its structuring and the establishment of dialectical pairs between its configurations, generating new, qualitatively superior syntheses.
