Abstract

Vocational guidance is a social pedagogical challenge for the educator of all age groups, however, in the high school student group. It is essential for the development of society, especially in the current transformations. The present work aims to reflect on the subject emphasizing the need for the integral development of students from the challenge that it constitutes for educators, in a general way and in particular for pedagogy. Some theoretical and praxiological reflections about the treatment to the term professional orientation are exposed, it is exemplified how some actions are executed from the university, with the objective of contributing to the integral education of the high school graduates in the Ecuadorian environment.
