Abstract

There is currently a growth in the influence and importance of mathematics in society, due to the increase of its applications in science, technological innovation and everyday life. This argues the need and importance of the improvement of the teaching of Mathematics and the training of teachers of this subject. One of the problems in which they manifest limitations in the learning of Mathematics is the solution of problems, the same has in its base inadequacies in the understanding of the mathematical text expressed in problems. Perfect the methodology of the solution of mathematical problems from the understanding of the text becomes a challenge for the training of teachers, in the present article from the bibliographical analysis and the experiences of the Technical University of Machala reflects on this particular.
