Abstract

Introduction: The objective of this research was to identify the fundamental dimensions involved in the construction of knowledge in the contemporary university classroom for the generation of new knowledge and its limitations that underlie reproductive approaches to knowledge and the assessment of the potential for creation from thinking skills channeled from an integrative pedagogical model in the face of the problem expressed as limitations of a higher education that faces a critical paradox of social demands that require professionals with the ability to create and transfer complex knowledge to pedagogical practices, it involved addressing the following dimensions: AI in the activity of knowledge construction in the university classroom; the reproductive mediation of content and its limitations for the creation of new knowledge; the dynamics of memorization of concepts versus the development of competencies and, the potential development of dialectical integration between appropriation of content, thinking skills, research and communicating the created knowledge to others. The research made use of scientific methodology such as scientific methods: holistic-dialectical, deduction and synthesis and empirical methods: bibliographic review and systematization of information.
