Cinema is one of the basic pillars of today's media and technology society. Its beginnings, at the end of the 19th century, marked the beginning of a new era in the development of contemporary art. This research aims to analyze how the film Troy, a film adaptation of the Iliad, can encourage students to read the Homeric work. It is presented as a different educational resource in which both the literary text and the cinematographic text dialogue, and from which a fresh and contemporary product closer to young people results. It is not intended to be an assessment of adaptation, but rather a proposal for Greek Literature I classes.
