Impact of the implementation of ICT in primary education

The introduction of Information and Communication Technologies have revolutionized educational processes; however, there are still shortcomings in its implementation. In order to characterize the impact of these technologies in the primary education centers of the city of Machala, this study was carried out. The methodological strategy ran through the hermeneutic, phenomenological and statistical methods; the hermeneutics facilitated the analysis of curricula, normative documents of the introduction of ICT in this teaching and specialized bibliography to determine the state of the art; the phenomenology allowed to know the teachers' perception of their impact; the statistician provided the planning, collection, processing and analysis of the information received through the instruments applied.
