Abstract

This article addresses to the problem known as “Buen Vivir” (Pleasant Living) in the Ecuadorian in the Ecuadorian way of living “Buen Vivir” is after all a way of living aimed to reach human happiness, sustainability of natural and cultural diversity, which implies infinite economic growth and, more importantly, a sustainable human development which, in turn, has a material expression in the Republic of Ecuador, within what is known as the “Buen Vivir” Plan. This is why we present here a Research Project that, from a comprehensive training perspective, through the university substantiated training programs, involvement, and research, favors the development of the basic principles of the society in “Buen Vivir”; this constitutes a tool for university innovation that answers the needs for transformation, not only of higher education, but also of the whole society.
