Resumen

Las implicaciones de la covid-19 en los roles docentes supone cambios en las condiciones y exigencias laborales que puede provocar sobrecargas, conflictos y ambigüedades, pudiendo afectar su salud y compromiso. Por ello el presente estudio tuvo como objetivos: 1.- evaluar el nivel de engagement y estrés de rol, así como la relación entre ambas variables en una comunidad de docentes universitarios de Ecuador, e 2.- identificar factores psicosociales que permitan gestionar un desempeño exitoso y saludable, desde la perspectiva de una cualidad comunitaria con enfoque positivo y salutogénico. La metodología contó con un enfoque mixto. Se aplicaron dos cuestionarios y una entrevista. Los resultados muestran el 90,9% de los docentes con nivel alto de engagement y más del 60% con síntomas de estrés de rol. Se comprobó una relación significativa negativa entre ambas variables. Finalmente se revelaron cinco categorías emergentes y cinco elementos dinamizadores de una comunidad positiva de aprendizaje.
