Abstract

Introduction: Polycystic ovary syndrome requires multidisciplinary management. Healthy habits are essential for its clinical, anthropometric, and laboratory control. However, no specific dietary or exercise regimen has been established for the management of this syndrome. The objective of this research is to analyze the impact of healthy habits on the management of polycystic ovary syndrome. Methodology: A systematic review of the literature was conducted following the PRISMA method. Articles published between 2020 and 2025 that refer to healthy habits and polycystic ovary syndrome, as well as systematic reviews and randomized controlled trials, were included. Articles that focus only on pharmacological or surgical therapy, in the pediatric population, or with unclear methodology and conclusions were excluded. Results: The inclusion of healthy habits such as the DASH, Mediterranean, LF, MED/LC, LGD, TLC, MD, and HPD diets, along with physical activity and psychological management, contribute to the multidisciplinary treatment of PCOS. Conclusions: The Mediterranean diet and moderate-intensity aerobic exercise improve clinical and laboratory parameters associated with PCOS. The 5A regimens and symbiotic supplementation enhance the above.
