Experience in the artistic-cultural training of English Language professionals

Abstract

Introduction: Higher education requires transformations, aimed at achieving, among its fundamental objectives, a more scientific approach to teaching, which inevitably dynamizes the training process of professionals in Higher Education institutions. Objective: To demonstrate the improvement of the artistic cultural formative dynamics of integration into the teaching-learning process in the training of students for the development of their professional model. Methods: Research with a pedagogical approach, using empirical and theoretical methods, which allowed to singularize the artistic cultural formative dynamics in the integration into the teaching-learning process from the cultural promotion. Results: It favored a coherent translation and interpretation in the integration of cultural contents, as an expression of the contextualized sociohumanist construction, enhancing the results in pre-professional practice. Discussion: The development of motivating actions in the teaching-learning process allowed for the development of translation and interpretation skills by producing coherent and cohesive texts across the different types of texts (oral and written) that constitute the program's content. This facilitated oral and written critique of the ideas contained in oral and written texts on different topics. This facilitated new interpretations of sociocultural activity, based on the development of their socio-professional spirituality, by offering committed and flexible responses in line with the demands of the professional context. Conclusions: The contribution of the artistic and cultural training dynamic to student development was corroborated, through the teaching and learning process of the Cuban Culture course.
