Emotional education and its impact on academic performance at the Estenio Burgos Galarza School

Emotions have a very important relationship with the teaching-learning process, so this study aims to analyze the incidence of emotional education on the academic performance of elementary school students of the "Estenio Burgos Galarza" School. This research project focuses on emotions as it is an increasingly substantial topic in the field of education and in our society. The methodology in this research is framed in an interpretative approach, therefore it is a documentary-bibliographic type research, using a non-experimental design, for the collection of data from this research the questionnaire instruments and technical sheets were used in order to answer the problem question formulated at the beginning of this research, it has a population of 90 students and 9 teachers at the elementary level. This study
contains all the information and activities carried out during the development of each chapter, each of the proposed objectives to be achieved. With this proposal, it is intended to support the importance of emotional education from
the first years of schooling, to contribute to the development of learning and social development of the child. Finally, it is proposed to apply a teacher training workshop with methodological strategies for the development of emotional education, and improve academic performance in students.
