Abstract

The study of talent in the sport initiation stage is a fundamental task in the sustainability of the human potential for the pyramid of high sports performance and the sustainability of the sporting achievements of the country, even though it is a controversial process due to its interpretation and fragmentation in its positions, not always consensual by the scientific community. Be part of the questioning of how to enhance the management of sports talent in the initiation stage from the teaching-learning process of baseball. Includes the studies conducted in the courses 2016-2017 and 2018-2019 in sports areas of the municipality of Santiago de Cuba. The objective is to offer a methodological strategy for the identification of possible talents in baseball in the 9-10 year category in teaching-learning from a socio-constructive approach. For its development, theoretical, empirical and statistical methods were used.
