Learning with a research focus and the improvement of the teaching-learning process in Social Sciences careers

The present research addresses the need to develop a methodology for learning with investigative focus in undergraduate students of Social Sciences careers, at the Technical University of Machala, Ecuador. This methodological contribution was designed using the Systemic-Structural-Functional method and was structured in four phases: diagnosis, planning of activities, orientation and execution. The methodology was an alternative to improve the teaching-learning process (PEA) and in a particular way from an investigative approach, in Social Sciences careers. As the main practical result of the research process developed, it offered a feasible option from a transformative practice. The viability and relevance of the methodology was validated by experts’ criteria.
