Abstract

The solving of problems has been object of various researching in the Didactic field due to the importance that such exercises have in the whole personality student’s formation. This is caused by the instructive, educational and developmental functions of the exercises. This aspect has difficulties not only in the theoretical branch, but also in the fulfillment of these functions in the educational practice. The objective of this article is to reflect about the functions of the problems in Mathematics teaching from the theoretical points of view in wich Cuban education is based nowadays. The term function of the problems is characterized in Mathematics teaching, the relationships among then are presented and the objectives field of Mathematics and Pedagogy cathegories. Besides that, actions are suggested in order to achieve the objective of them.
