Abstract

The teaching–learning of Biology in the last decades has been affected by factors such as the lack of motivation and curiosity of the students towards the biological knowledge, inadequate text comprehension and the scarce time dedicated to the practical activities. The complexity of the scientific language is another problem that limits its learning, the system of signs, models, symbols and its lexis are the elements that in occasion limit comprehension .For the professor under training of the career Biology-Geography it is indispensable to master its scientific language, however, in these students it is observed insufficiencies in comprehension and scientific text construction in the biological subjects. In the present piece of work it is contributed a didactic alternative for the treatment of the scientific language of Biology, that includes didactic procedures that propitiate a better communicative performance of the students in these subjects.
