Educational Transformation 4.0: Innovative strategies to strengthen quality, inclusion and equity in Basic General Education

Introduction: Basic General Education is currently facing the challenge of responding to a society characterized by digital transformation, sociocultural diversity, the acceleration of knowledge, and the need to guarantee quality learning for all students. In this scenario, Educational Transformation 4.0 is configured as a pedagogical approach aimed at renewing teaching and learning processes through the critical incorporation of digital technologies, active methodologies, interactive resources, and inclusive strategies that promote the student's holistic development. This article aims to propose an innovative strategy based on Educational Transformation 4.0 to strengthen quality, inclusion, and equity among ninth-grade students at the Cristo Rey Catholic School. Materials and methods: The research was developed using a mixed-methods approach, with a descriptive and propositional scope, which allowed for the integration of quantitative and qualitative data to understand the pedagogical conditions of the studied context. The population consisted of 91 students, from which a sample of 24 was selected using purposive non-probability sampling. Results: The diagnostic results revealed limitations related to the insufficient pedagogical integration of digital resources (only 41.7% of students perceived their use), the limited systematic application of active methodologies (40% of teachers disagreed), the need to diversify activities to address different learning paces (only 33.3% of students perceived varied strategies), and unequal student participation. Discussion: The integrated analysis of the results reveals a pedagogical reality characterized by the coexistence of significant potential and training needs that must be addressed. Educational transformation 4.0 constitutes a relevant path for renewing teaching practices, provided that the incorporation of digital technologies and active methodologies responds to pedagogical, inclusive, and contextual criteria. Conclusions: The proposed strategy, organized into five phases (diagnosis and awareness-raising; planning of innovative experiences; implementation of active, technology-mediated activities; collaborative and inclusive production; and socialization, feedback, and formative assessment), is concluded to be a relevant, viable, and contextualized pedagogical alternative for transforming classroom practices and promoting more inclusive, equitable, and high-quality learning.
