Keywords:

Introduction: Technological resources enhance the development of oral competencies in English by promoting authentic and motivating communicative processes. This research aims to analyze their effectiveness through a systematic review of 20 articles published between 2020 and 2025 in Scopus and SciELO, in English and Spanish, selected under the PRISMA method. The results highlight the contribution of platforms such as WhatsApp, YouTube and virtual reality to the development of fluency, confidence and communicative accuracy in secondary and university students. However, challenges persist such as non-systematic implementation and the need for specialized teacher training in digital pedagogy. Despite these limitations, there is growing interest in these technologies, reflected in the peak of research during 2022. In conclusion, technological resources constitute effective tools for improving oral competencies in English, requiring greater efforts in systematic implementation and research in diverse educational contexts.
