Abstract

Introduction: Pedagogical innovation has become a fundamental element for the transformation of education, in the current context of higher basic education. In a constantly changing world, where technology and knowledge evolve at an accelerated pace, it implies a change in the traditional way of approaching education, incorporating creative elements, adaptable to the needs and learning styles of students. Traditional teaching methodologies are no longer sufficient to prepare new generations for the challenges of the future. This work aims to motivate and engage students in ICT-based teaching-learning in the field of basic general education and evaluate its effects. Materials and methods: Generating a more dynamic and attractive learning environment, awakening interest and participating in an open innovation model. The purpose of this exploratory systematic review is to obtain information on the works published in the years 2021 to 2024 that appear in the Scopus and Web of Science databases. A systematic review was carried out, the methodology is mixed. Results: For this purpose, the research was considered to be focused on educational innovation, where students take an active role in their own learning, participating in the construction of knowledge. It is based on research and effective practices that have been shown to improve learning outcomes, adapting to the needs and learning styles of each student and the specific educational context, and fostering teamwork, communication, and the exchange of ideas. Discussion: Pedagogical innovation is an ongoing process that requires the commitment of the entire educational community. Educational institutions, teachers, students, and parents must work together to create a dynamic, creative learning environment adapted to the needs of the 21st century. Conclusions: Pedagogical innovation is the key to transforming education and preparing new generations for success in a constantly changing world.
