Introduction: This study is based on substantive theories, aiming to diagnose this relationship from an interpretative perspective, identifying strengths and weaknesses in the context of domestic violence and its impact on child development. Objective: To analyze the relationship between domestic violence and child development in children aged 1 to 3 years attending the CDI "Corazones Creativos," located in the canton of La Libertad during 2024. Materials and Methods: A mixed research methodology was employed, combining qualitative and quantitative approaches to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon. Through interactions between educators and families, the perceptions and experiences of both adults and children were captured. The sample included 10 mothers of the children attending the CDI, who provided key information about their family circumstances. Results: The results revealed a positive and significant correlation between domestic violence and child development, highlighting the negative impact of violence on various dimensions of the children's development. Discussion: The observed correlation suggests a significant relationship between how children feel and behave emotionally and the emotional well-being of their mothers. Conclusions: Children exposed to domestic violence exhibit significantly affected emotional and cognitive development. However, children who actively participate in the CDI's educational activities, where an environment of respect and cooperation is promoted, have shown a reduction in disruptive behaviors that could be related to domestic violence.
