Diagnosis of graphic skills from the subject Technical Drawing: challenges in the training of the Graduate in Labor Education

Abstract

Introduction: The professional training of university students requires the development of graphic skills that allow the construction of new meanings in the process of reading design from the Technical Drawing subject; it allows spatial imagination and creativity. However, in the training process, a technological didactic orientation and timely guidance from the teacher are required in his role as mediator of learning in problem solving. Materials and methods: The intention of this work is to socialize the results and theoretical criteria about the technological didactic orientation and its implementation for the development of graphic skills in students of the Bachelor of Labor Education at the University of Oriente. Results: The proposal includes a sample obtained from the implementation of a technological didactic orientation strategy for the development of graphic skills using the FreeCad Software, a result of the ongoing doctoral research. Discussion: The learning process in the professional training of the Bachelor of Labor Education is becoming more important every day, a reflection of this is the role that they are playing in these times of great changes. However, although the proposals that are currently offered in initial training, methods are evident in traditional teaching. Conclusions: Through the research, the importance of the use of information technologies to enhance the process addressed is confirmed, and the potential of the Free Cad software to develop graphic communication skills in accordance with the improvement that is carried out in basic secondary schools, and it is evident to develop didactic orientation strategies to achieve successful achievement in the future professional of Labor Education. Consequently, the designed exercises and the technological didactic orientation strategy for the development of graphic communication skills favor the development of graphic communication skills and learning to teach in its own process from the subject Technical Drawing assisted by the Free Cad Software for the interpretation of plans in space, spatial vision and spatial imagination of the same evidenced in the construction of new meanings and knowledge.
