Marti's passion of a philosopher

José Antonio Escalona Delfino (1949-2012), professor and researcher at the Universidad de Oriente, was passionate about Marti. He dedicated more than 40 years of his life to researching and disseminating Cuban thought, using the theoretical tools provided by the social sciences in which he was trained: history and philosophy. José Martí was the thinker who most captivated him. The results of his investigative work were distinguished by revealing the philosophical substrate of Marti's ideas, their ethical-humanist foundation, the socio-philosophical premises that nourished the formation of a worldview in correspondence with the contexts. All of which contributes to highlighting his contribution to Cuban philosophical work.
