Considerations needed on the training of trainers for the reduction of disaster risks

Abstract

The emergence of disasters is a matter of great concern due to the consequences that derive from them for the individual, the family and the community. From this perspective the need for the permanent education of human resources, in which there are different training events that allow the training of professionals who from their professional profile can face this problem, which is why it aims to characterize the behavior of training for disaster risk reduction in business. Indicators were determined and various diagnostic instruments were applied to those trained in business centers in Santiago de Cuba, in addition to teachers. The main results show that: it is necessary to continue deepening, from science, around the training of those trained in business, to systematize and update the contents of disaster risk reduction in labor training, to direct education of these postgraduates according to the dangers to which their centers are exposed. A design of actions from the university is proposed to contribute to this continuous training in relation to disaster reduction.
