The improvement of the Cuban Education is a permanent process aimed to solving the problems in the educational system. One of the priorities is directed to the teaching - learning process in rural multigradeschools, with emphasis in the treatment to the oral expression as a basic objective of the subject Spanish Language, which has be systematized in the rest of the subjects of the curriculum. Nevertheless, the diagnosis allowed the corroborationof some insufficiencies manifested in the oral expression of the students in the multigradeschool. The objective of the investigation is the elaboration of a didactic model for the development of the oral expression in the studentsfrom the multigrade 5.-6 classroomin rural sector. This model favorsthe integral preparation of the students, in correspondence with the ideal of primary school.
