The use of Information Technologies and Communications, as an alternative for the visualization of the scientific production of the Universidad de Oriente

Abstract

The university library should promote its services, offer and stimulate the demand for these through means that can be traditional advertising materials or advertising media such as information on web pages, repositories, guides, among others. The same must be immersed in a changing environment given directly by the new university model driven by political and social processes. Faced with this situation, the Universidad de Oriente library is adapting its model to be an active participant in this new framework and promote its role in the educational field. The objective of this work is to highlight the stage occupied by this institution, in support of the academic and research activities of the university community, where the context and management carried out to gain in quality of services is analyzed, thus achieving greater satisfaction of the informative demands of the users.
