Abstract

The research is determined by a general problem in the secondary and university education in the province of Los Rios Ecuador, language and cognition in the development of complex university students and critical thinking. It was learned what the reality of the reading process and how it affects the body of knowledge in the classroom, understanding that language contributes or determines the capabilities to engage in educational tasks and development of complex critical thinking and superior character. The stated goal is to know how the reading habit influences the complex critical thinking and students of the Technical University of Babahoyo.
