Abstract

The problem of a regular, healthy and sustained supply of drinking water to the different communities constitutes a scourge that is very frequent within the rural communities of Latin America and Chile in particular. A descriptive, cross-sectional study was carried out, related to the characteristics of the work of the leaders of the rural drinking water systems and their influence on the actions of the state for the establishment of the rural drinking water sanitary service. To develop the above, a sample of 136 SSR was taken to which a survey was applied. Therefore, it is concluded that the infrastructure elements for the development of rural sanitation systems, at the level of rural drinking water committees, constitute a pillar in the effective, timely and excellent management of water services to members of the community farming communities.
