Abstract

The quality in higher education continues to be one of the main challenges to be faced by countries, which in today's globalized society has imposed "knowledge" within the main areas of the economy, cataloging a country that’s stagnant in low growth. cultural, social and technological. Forall this, terms such as excellence, efficiency, equity and relevance in Higher Education are frequently heard, however the main problem arises when we have to demonstrate that an institution or graduate program presents excellence, efficiency or simply quality. The present work tries to illustrate the academic quality in the accreditation programs of the career, Master's and Doctorates achieved to this day in the Law career at the Universidad de Oriente, as well as the challenges and prospects for the immediate future of accreditation and excellence.
