Abstract

Cuban preventive policy sets guidelines with a legal basis; hense social prevention is implicit and incorporated into the corporate purpose of organizations and institutions, highlighting those of the educational sector, particularly universities; these have a double challenge: to work from the conceptions of social prevention in order to give adequate treatment to social problems and contradictions in which students and faculty debates as social subjects in their various spheres of life and to achieve from vocational training, who stand as subjects of change from a humanist and emancipatory praxis. The reflection that is carried out is intended to problematize and analyze the role of universities in the ethical training of their students and professors. Understanding this process of critical appropriation as a tool for social prevention, beyond the traditional frameworks in that the topic has been debated.
