Abstract

Medical training constitutes an important and significant social process based on the understanding of current scientific challenges. A bibliographic review was carried out with the objective of exposing the transcendental aspects of the process of training of Internal Medicine residents in the care of patients with Dengue in the hospital context. Medical-formative, educational, cultural, economic and environmental contradictions were identified. The influence of these contradictions was framed and the need for contextualized socio-professional systematization to develop professional transformative capacity, in the prevention and control of Dengue as a solution to this social problem.
