Abstract

Joel James Figarola, is one of the most important and versatile historians of the contemporary Cuban historiography. Their wide production embraces diverse facets and periods of the history, the local and natural culture. Nevertheless, his work has not been valued in all its magnitude as a fundamental bibliography by the National Commission of Career to be used by professors and students. This present work has been carried out because of the situation or problem mentioned above. The historiographical contribution of the principal texts and their uses are analyzed and also a proposal is presented of the subjects of the course of the History of Cuba of the Bachelor's Degree in History.
