Financial education strategies for rural community projects with international cooperation alliances
Abstract
Introduction: This research examines the relationship between the use of financial education strategies and the results of rural community projects in communities that benefit from international cooperation alliances developed in the Ecuadorian province of Manabí. Materials and Methods: This research is located within a quantitative framework, as it is correlational and not cross-sectional experimental, since a pre-structured online survey was used and composed of the distribution of 10 items in different ways (financial education strategies, project results, support from international alliances) to collect information. The research sample was 67 people taken from a population that was considered to be 80, and was made up of community leaders, direct beneficiaries and those responsible for the organizations that cooperate with them. Descriptive statistics (means and standard deviations) and nonparametric correlation tests (Spearman and Kendall) were used to analyze the data. Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used to determine the instrument's reliability. Results: The results revealed a strong, positive correlation between the implementation of financial strategies and project success (rho = 0.845), as well as a significant correlation with the level of international support. Conclusions: The dimensions analyzed showed adequate levels of reliability, with financial strategies being particularly notable (α = 0.805). Opportunities were identified to deepen technical support from international cooperation, and the evaluation instruments could also be expanded.
