José Martí and Art: a look at the training process of the artistic education professional

Abstract

In Cuban education, the training of professionals in Art Education constitutes a priority. It is the responsibility of the University to train a competent professional committed to directing the development of aesthetic-artistic taste in the new generations in their contexts of action, through knowledge of artistic manifestations with an emphasis on music. In this research, the richness of Marti's legacy and its permanence in the new educational context were investigated, a new methodological analysis procedure based on Marti's logic for the analysis and understanding of the musical work was unveiled. Analysis-synthesis and holistic dialectical methods were used with a hermeneutical approach. The result was a closer approach to the work of our aposto and its contribution to the pedagogical professional identity.
