Alternatives of environmental education for the management of solid waste in Ghana
Abstract
Solid waste is linked to the most diverse social practices from the economic, social, daily, political and cultural. The results of the interaction between the different social-individual or collective actors through solid waste, are loaded with positive or negative social meanings for any person or institution, which are those that define the intrinsic properties of solid waste as a social reality . In Ghana, institutions that buy solid waste from first world countries aggravate the accumulation of solid waste in the country to the detriment of its inhabitants. Therefore, this research aims to determine environmental education alternatives for the management of solid waste in Ghana.
