University's College for Physics careers: realities and challenges

Abstract

In this paper are presented the work dynamics in the 12th-grade class of the Bachelor in Physics career between the 2009/10 to 2013/14 academic years, when it belonged to the Physics Department of Universidad de Oriente. It showed that with teaching strategies for the design, in order to optimize the development of the Physics and Optional Physics classes, are achieved satisfactory results, such as the increment of school grades throughout the course. These results are similar to those obtained in the University College of the Universidad de La Habana and also are compared with the results of the University College of  Universidad de Oriente on 2019/20. In this last comparison, big differences have been found. Finally, some recommendations are presented for the improvement of strategy of this college.
