The environmental dimension from the social approach of science and technology

Abstract

In recent times, Latin American attempts have been aimed at increasing the welfare of society. The trajectory of Latin American thought about science, technology and society, was related to the political approach around development problems linked to science, technology and the environment in the face of the global crisis. However, the previous ideas have been little worked on in determining and systematizing the intellectual work of the representatives of the CTS approach in Latin America related in particular to the environmental dimension from ideological, political and ethical conceptions. Therefore, the objective of this research is to analyze the environmental dimension from the focus on science, technology and society. The novelty of the study is that the environmental dimension is deepened and systematized from the social focus on science and technology, as an element fundamental for the technological scientific development of the region.
