ICT competences of directive teachers of public educational centers

Abstract

This research was carried out with the objective of diagnosing the ICT competencies of school principals of public schools in the Educational District 09D08 of Guayaquil. A basic research was carried out from a qualitative study, based on a literature review and data collection through a field study where 44 managers were surveyed through two questionnaires designed to identify their level of integration of technological skills and the level of knowledge and usability of technological tools. The results show that not all managers are familiar with search engines and the web, need strategies for the publication of digital content and the design of virtual learning environments and the use of technological tools to help students develop critical thinking and build meaningful learning.
