Knowledge Management as approach for the Quality Assurance of Higher Education in Ecuador

Abstract

The interest in improving academic quality in higher education in Ecuador leads us to the analysis of knowledge management. A comparison is made of the existing models and dimensions of knowledge management applied in other countries, sectors and in education. In addition, documentation and reports on higher education in Latin America are analyzed. A survey is also carried out to validate each of the elements of the proposed model. The results of the research lead us to propose a knowledge management model, which guarantees academic quality to train professionals committed to the country.
