Remembrance of the initial formation of the primary teacher in Santiago de Cuba (1959-1989)

Abstract

The objective of this work is to reflect on the historical-pedagogical process of the initial training of the primary teacher in the town of Santiago de Cuba (1959-1989), revealing its future in the middle and higher pedagogical training, as an effective way to the quality in the training of professionals, to obtain the culture and identity of the profession, the pedagogical professional reaffirmation of the students of the pedagogical sciences, while enriching the contents of the History of Pedagogy and the Sciences of Education, by revealing the pedagogical roots and traditions of educational institutions, notable personalities, and the pedagogical conceptions of training and the curriculum. In its development, the postulates of dialectical materialism and the socio-historical-cultural approach are assumed.
