Contribution to knowledge of local history in the Physical Culture career

Abstract

The History of Cuba discipline in the Physical Culture career needs to raise the rigor and effectiveness of its teaching-learning process, as an essential component in the training of the professional. Acquiring a historical culture based on national knowledge constitutes a way to solve the problems of the exercise of the profession in the base link and in the socioeconomic areas where it operates. Through the application of different instruments, insufficient work with local history was detected. This study proposes to develop teaching tasks for work with local history in the first year of the Physical Culture career at the Frank País Municipal University Center. Scientific methods are used to analyze the behavior of the problem and its real situation. The results achieved enable students to increase their specific knowledge of the history of the locality where they reside.
