The leisure-recreational culture and its relation ship with the formative process from university institutional management

Abstract

The present article constitutes a reflection about the leisure-recreational phenomenon and its relation with the educational process in the university framework, considering the leading role of said institution in the formative processes, and in the construction of practices related to the sociocultural and human task. The analysis carried out focuses on the scenario of the Universidad de Oriente, where the application of qualitative and quantitative methods, such as interviewing, observation and the questionnaire, reveals the main leisure practices of university students and the way in which these practices are managed. Its fundamental objective is to value the membership of institutional management in the formation of an leisure-recreational culture, aimed at the appropriate use of free time in this environment.
