Quality management and its impact on organizational performance in an Ecuadorian public university
Abstract
The present study deploys a model of management of quality and organizational performance for the public University of sector 4 in Ecuador; exemplified from one of its institutions: the Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí University (ULEAM), located in the region of the Ecuadorian coast, specifically in the canton of Manta. This model was developed based on a characterization of the population of the ULEAM, as well as a characterization of the constructs: quality management system (QMS), organizational climate (CLIOR), engagement (ENG) and organizational performance (DO), which were analyzed factorially, determining the degree of existing relationship, as well as the homogeneity and significance of the different dimensions of these variables. All statistical processing was carried out using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS, version 25) as a tool.
