The care practice in gastroenterology, in the care of patients with digestive malignancies: their social contradictions

Abstract

In the institutions of higher education of medical sciences that attend specificities regarding the attention to patients with digestive neoplasms, positive changes are revealed with a view to achieving a high professional level. For this purpose, the present investigation was carried out, which describes some existing deficiencies in the process of training the resident of Gastroenterology, which could damage their subsequent performance, whose work includes the diagnostic and therapeutic digestive endoscopic procedures, the standardization of treatments with specific health conditions, and their contextual factors. Therefore, the objective is to identify the insufficiencies in the healthcare performance of the Gastroenterology professional in relation to the preventive and educational treatment of digestive oncological diseases.
