Reflections about the educational orientation since the initial formation of students from pedagogical majors

Abstract

Challenges confronted by the University in the preparation of the students from pedagogical majors to give solution to the professional problems that emerge in the educational practice reveal the need of the formation of competencies whereas it endows them with resources to this end. Limitations become evident in the exercise of their labor practice to offer an adequate educational orientation in different contexts where they are inserted. In such sense, the objective of this article is to reflect about the educational orientation in the initial formation of students from pedagogical majors, in order to contribute to improve their performance in the teaching practice. Theoretical and empiricists methods used, allowed compiling and examining the necessary information to explain the problem.
